Tiered Skirt and Chloe & Mieko Shirt

I made B this skirt for fabric that I just bought at a quilting shop going out of business.  I bought 4 different prints of a patty Young line for 40% off.   I bought enough to make my two nieces matching skirts.  The shirt was a purchased XXL at Target for $2 bucks, love it.  I had enough of the shirt scraps to make the skirt into a skort.  It turned out so cute.  Can not wait for the nice weather to kick in so she can wear in out.

Shot of the built in shorts.

I made 3 shirts for the Mieko and Chloe sew along and B was very interested in the reason behind the shirts and did a pretty good job explaining it to a few people .  So I decided to make her one too, the striped shirt need something and the Pink Fig Pattern was perfect.  I love how the girls dresses match B's skirt.

Shirts For Japan

I just finished my shirts for the Sew Along for Japan with Susan from Living With Punks using Chelsea’s pattern from Pink Fig Patterns! We are trying to reach a goal to send 500 shirts to children in Japan who have been affected by the earthquake and tsunami!  It's not to late to start your own shirt to send.  Chelsea will be taking the shirts to Japan personally, she will need them no later than May 25th.

Aren't they so cute.  Check out all the other cute versions then talented bloggers have made at Living With Punks .

This one is my favorite.  It's so tiny and cute.  I wanted to make a onesie version so I had to scale down the pattern.

I embroidered the eyes on the small versions, since they would be going to small children.

I used the scaled down version as well on this 2T shirt, it just fit better.

The matching 2T shirt and the onsie would be so cute for two sisters.

My full scaled version is on a 6T shirt.  I just love this pattern.

Love the eyelashes and button eyes.

All three of my shirts. They are all done and ready to ship to Chelsea.  Thanks for the great sew-along Susan.
