Quilt -Along Block # 10

Block # 10 - Amy's Creative Side

I'm getting the blocks done faster now, getting better at the flying geese.  I going to have to take a break form the squares next week, my daughter's birthday is Friday and I have a dress to make her and 8 little mermaids and if I have time a mermaid bunting banner.  It should be fun.  I'll post pictures later.

Quilt Along Blocks # 7-9 + Bonus Block

I'm very much enjoying the quilt a long and learning so much.  I find myself looking forward to Monday and Thursday mornings just to see the next block.  I know I need to get a life:)
Block # 7 House of a la mode

Block # 8 Moda home mom
I was a little worried about this one but I love how the appliqued geese turned out.

Block # 9 Blue Nickle Studios
I had originally had white with small red poke-a-dots fabric in place of the red circles but ripped it out, it was just too much white.  I like it much better with the red circles.

All 9 blocks together for the first time.

Block #9+ Blissful Things
This block was inspired by block #3 and #6  and I'm very pretty happy about how it came out.  I will definitely be making more bonus blocks.  It was very fun to create.  I don't know if I will use them to make the quilt larger of for piecing the back.
Tomorrow is Thursday, can't wait to see what Amy's Creative Side has planned for block # 10.

Here I Go- First Post

Well, I have been looking at this blank page for a day now and just have not figured out where to start or what I want this blog to be.  I still haven't figured it all out but here I go.

Quilt Along
I have started my second quilt and my first quilt along last month, Bloggers' Block-a-palooza Quilt Along.
It is half done and I'm really liking the whole process.  I'm learning so much from all of the talented quilters out there and I love seeing every ones blocks and sharing mine as well.  You can check them all out at, http://www.flickr.com/groups/bloggersblockapalooza/
Here are my blocks 1-6.  I have 2 more finished that I will post after I finish the new one on Monday.

Block #1 Quilt Dad

Block # 2 Oh Fransson!
I think this one looks out of place, needs some blue.  I'm thinking of changing out the dark grey squares (because they would be the easiest ones to pull out) for fussy cut blue Nome fabric, by Heather Ross.  I think it will make it look so cute.

Block # 4 Cherry House Quilts

Block # 5 Miss Print

Block # 6    Happy Zombie  My  favorite one by far.  Not only do I love the little deer but I loved the challenge of the block.  If I make doubles of some of the block design it will include this one.

First 6 blocks together.  I'm really liking how the quilt is coming along and can not wait to see it finished.  There will be a total of 16 blocks when finished but I'm thing of making 4 extra but we will see.
